The historical Jefferson
Hotel was built in 1895 and is acclaimed
as a Five Diamond AAA award winner. The Jefferson Hotel
is famous for its majestic grand staircase, featured in a popular
scene from the movie "Gone With The Wind".
The building was in need of a roof system that would provide long-
term reliable service. A Mule-Hide Ballasted EPDM System was chosen by
Jefferson
Hotel's Assistant Chief Engineer, Steve Corwin and Rick Blake of Allstate
Roofing. |

The new roof would have to be installed
while the hotel was conducting business. Due to the service standards
set by the hotel, the project would need to be done with the utmost discretion
as not to disturb their valued guest's comfort.
A ballasted roof was in place prior to the re-roof
project and was dealt with my moving the existing rock to tear
off the old insulation and membrane. New insulation and a new Reinforced
EPDM membrane was installed and the ballast was then laid back over
it, preserving the look of the roof. Custom radius metal pieces
were created by Gordon Metal Corporation for finishing touches on
the project. |

The 56,008 square foot project consisted of eight separate
levels
and was completed in five days. A fifteen year standard warranty
was issued. |
