Mule-Hide Products Co., Inc, Beloit, Wisconsin introduces SA-MB Water Base Vertical Primer to their line of Self-Adhering Mod Bit products. This new primer eliminates solvent-based products and lowers VOC’s from vertical flashing installations of Mule-Hide Self-Adhering Mod Bit. The primer is acrylic, latex-based, and specially designed to prime vertical substrates prior to the application of Mule-Hide SA- Mod Bit Base Sheet, SA-Mod Bit SBS Cap Sheet, or SA-Mod Bit APP Cap Sheet. It offers superior bonding performance and can be sprayed, rolled, or brushed on almost any acceptable vertical substrate.  The primer is non-flammable, non-toxic, and affords contractors a wide application temperature range. The texture is similar to latex paint so the primer applies easily and smoothly for fast installations and containers can be re-sealed without set taking place. Available in 3.5-gallon pails.

Mule-Hide Self-Adhering membranes are manufactured with Adeso™ self-adhesive technology. A ‘true’ APP or SBS is provided on the top (weathering) surface and a new generation, pressure sensitive adhesive is provided on the bottom of the reinforcement.
Adheres to eight different substrates. No hot kettles, no open flames make this system ideal for low-slope or steeper slopes when a fast, clean, safe application is desired. Contractors enjoy instant bonding roll-to-roll and enhanced sealability offered by the SEALLap® selvage treatment. They also benefit from fast end laps and more reliable seams with the granule-free FASTLap® design. And now vertical details are clean and easy with new Mule-Hide SA-MB Water Base Vertical Primer.
