Coating systems can breathe new life into mature low-slope roofing systems, brightening their appearance, enhancing their energy efficiency and delaying for years the day when they have to be recovered or replaced. They also can help contractors navigate the current supply chain challenges and keep projects on schedule by giving them an additional solution to offer to their clients.
For a coatings system to perform, however, the roof substrate must first be properly prepared. Fail to do so, and a roof restoration that could have lasted 10 or 20 years can fail in as little as two or three.
