Working with Low-Slope Roofing Materials When Temperatures Dip
Whenever possible, avoid installing when ambient temperatures are lower than 40 F to 45 F.
Membranes must be between 60 F and 80 F at the time of installation.
Primers, adhesives and sealants must be between 60 F and 80 F prior to use.
When installation must take place when the ambient temperature is lower than 40 F to 45 F, extra care must be taken to ensure the membrane does not crack while being unrolled and that adequate bonding is achieved.
