Training is one of the most powerful tools in a roofing professional’s arsenal, and we take great pride in offering one of the best programs in the industry. We firmly believe that training is not a “one-and-done” process or something that is “nice to have,” but something that must be ongoing for every roofing professional. That goes for contractors, our distributor partners and our own associates, too.

Our RISE (Roofing Installation and Systems Education) Program provides the comprehensive, flexible training needed to keep you and your team at the top of your game.

Options to meet your needs

We offer courses for all commercial roofing professionals, whether you’re new to the industry or a seasoned expert.

  • Our “Introduction to Low-Slope Roofing” course is perfect for those starting out. It covers the essentials, including the differences between low-slope and steep-slope roofs, the components of a low-slope roof, and an overview of various roofing products.
  • For those experienced in low-slope roofing but new to a specific system, our introductory courses in TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and coatings provide the foundation you need. Each course covers the system's best applications, accurate job estimation, efficient installation, and warranty options.
  • For advanced learners, follow-up classes help you refine your skills, expand your knowledge, and tackle more complex jobs. We can also develop custom programs tailored to the specific needs of your upcoming projects.

Expert Instructors & Hands-On Experience

Courses are taught by some of the most knowledgeable professionals in commercial roofing – our territory managers, our field technical representatives and our training department team. All are passionate about sharing their product and technical expertise and the lessons they have learned during their years in the business.

Our courses guide participants through every stage of learning, from foundational knowledge to hands-on experience. Starting with classroom-style instruction, you'll build a solid understanding of the topic. Instructors then demonstrate how to apply that knowledge, followed by opportunities for you to gain essential hands-on experience, building a roof from the ground up.

Our Mule-Hide Training Centers – strategically located throughout the country – are specifically designed for roofing training. They have all the tools and equipment needed to demonstrate and practice how to install any low-slope roofing system or complete any detail. We also take our training programs on the road to distributors’ branches and contractors’ facilities.

Multiple facilities make it convenient to receive in-person instruction. Mule-Hide Training Centers are in:
